Older cultures believe in the efficacy of taking the waters. At Rio Caliente, the source of the healing waters is an underground volcanic lake. It supplies numerous springs and waterfalls along the river that bounds three sides of the spa. The water temperature rises as high as 157 Fahrenheit to provide pure thermal water for the spa’s four pools, natural steam room and all bedrooms. The mineral content is a particularly beneficial (and orderless) combination of salts & minerals including lithium. With healing and detoxifying in mind, meals are a culinary delight, chosen for metabolic and health benefits, all food and drinking water are ozone/ultra-violet purified triple-filtered and oxygenated for excellent drinking and eating.
The spa is located 45 minutes outside of Guadalajara, safe and tranquil, tucked in the Primavera National Forest, Rio Caliente is a 25 acres Shangri-La with bougainvillea, jacaranda and tropical plants. Set in a fragrant pine forest it offers an array of hiking trails. The weather is always delightful.
The 10/7-night retreat offers something for everyone wanting to explore their psoas muscle. Price includes double occupancy (single accommodations are available for additional price), three fabulous meals a day, 10-day educational course & explorations, one private session with Liz (valued at $200), access to all hot mineral pools, yoga/fitness classes, and a variety of spa events plus 2 mud wraps, 4 massages/facials, and a one-day trip shopping/tourist adventure. The Mexico 15% tax is included. Horseback riding and other special events extra. Travel to and from the spa is not included.
The retreat is open to anyone who has previously attended a class or workshop. and you may bring a friend/partner to share the spa together.
