Experience the Full ‘Action Potential’ of Your Psoas
2-day (12-hour) weekend workshop open to EVERY-BODY- focuses on real core strength! Today’s fitness programs focus on locking down the ribs, tucking the tailbone, and pulling in the core in an attempt to develop core strength. This erroneous approach is not how power lifter and elite trainer Deric Stockton found his true power and strength. Capable of power lifting over 800 pounds, Stockton teaches that a supple, dynamic psoas, and proprioception are vital for true strength and power.
The workshop focuses on new visions and paradigms of Core Strength and Core Power by:
- Developing strength without density
- Building a practice around eustress not distress
- Gaining effective restoration using active recovery tools for overcoming all injuries
- Going beyond a symptomatic/asymptotic approach to evoke true vitality
- Moving from a supple dynamic core and building up not breaking down power and strength
- Achieving power through midline proprioception and bi-lateral equalization
Deric Stockton is the owner of Core Strength RX Gym. He is a certified trainer and the creator of a system for developing a powerful and functional core. Deric is a Psoas aficionado, like myself, but arrives at core awareness from a very different background. An athlete, marine and bodybuilder, turned power lifter, turned strength coach & personal trainer, Deric is one super Psoas savvy guy! He works with all ages and all levels of functioning including training for the Special Olympics. Deric has an amazing somatic understanding of the core muscles and the importance of skeletal balance, proprioceptive awareness, and a fluid core for overall health and well being. He is a living anatomy learning tool – not to be missed! Posted on the wall of his studio are the words: Posture – Position – Proprioception!
