Our bio-intelligent, primordial Psoas in today’s society is domesticated, locked down and like a plant in a container, “pot bound”.  Just as a tree, grown in a restricted container never reaches its full potential, so too a domesticated Psoas never fully expresses itself when bound within social limits, decorum, and repetitive movement.  This workshop explores longing and primal expression through simple non-linear, multi-directional, fluid movement, frequency of sound, and play – with the intention of reawakening and revitalizing your primal core.

Electric cellist and vocalist Jami Sieber joins Liz Koch for a dynamic live music collaboration.  Sieber’s playing is lush and powerfully evocative.  Sensing our movements, Jami will explore the sound and tempo of our group, the longing of expression in human tissue, and translate this conversation into sound.
