Gaining Strength & Power: An Interview with Deric Stockton

Published by Liz Koch on September 21, 2012 in Blog, Podcasts

Elite power lifter, Deric Stockton, discusses powerful strategies for developing true core strength and the dynamic approach he used to become super strong. Capable of squat lifting over 804 pounds, Stockton utilizes a supple, dynamic psoas and neurological proprioception as a means for developing not only strength and power, but also a healthy, resilient core.

As a young athlete, marine, and bodybuilder Deric turned to functional power lifting to become a healthy strength coach and judge. He is the author of a 3-part series Rehab & Prehab: An Active Recovery Program published in Powerlifting USA Magazine (May–July 2010).
